Hello,

On the P3Dv5 version of the aircraft the captain's ADI is missing the sky pointer. On the F/O side it is there. Any chance for a fix?

This is definitely some kind of bug since all the YouTube videos from P3Dv5 show the same issue. There is a black band where the sky pointer should be, so there may be a missing texture there. Seems to me it would be an easy fix for Captain Sim developers to address. Since this is a pay ware product with official P3Dv5 compatibility, I would appreciate an answer from Captain Sim.

Can you point me to a YouTube video showing the problem. I'm not sure what you mean by "sky pointer" as there is no reference to it in the manual for the 1011 II.

Thanks for getting back.
I'm not allowed to post links, but if you Google [P3Dv5] Captain Sim L-1011 | EGLL to LIRF British Airways it's the first video by
"FurloughSim".

At 38 seconds into the video, there is a shot of both the Captain and F/O's ADI's. You'll notice the upward pointing white triangle pointer at the top of the instrument of the F/O's ADI - this is the sky pointer (CS L-1011 II manual2 on page 137 calls it the Roll Angle Pointer). It sits below the Fixed Roll Angle Scale and is missing on the Captain's ADI. If you look closely there is a black band where the roll angle pointer would be on the Captain's instrument. The FSX version of the L-1011 has the ADI rendered correctly.

Another one is TWA Lockheed L-1011-1 Miami Departure [Prepar3D V5.2] by "Project Eero" at 4:05 into the video both ADI's are shown.

I saw that's it's missing from the 1011 Captain II in P3D4/5 (but it is there on the 1011 Captain for FSX/SE/P3D3). I really only fly the 1011 Captain in FSX/SE and almost never in P3D4/5 (though I will do minor flights in P3D4/5, but only to check things out for helping people in the forum).
As for if and/or when it will be fixed, I can't answer that. Sorry. :(
