Perhaps there's a way to add
the FSX default transponder or some thing
similar.

Edit the panel.cfg file and edit the following:

[Window Titles]
Window00=Main
Window01=Simicons
Window02=Xpndr

Then edit the following:

[Window01]
size_mm=24,120
background_color=1,0,1
position=6
visible=1
ident=12101
gauge00=Captain_Sim.b520.icons!icons,0,0,24,96
gauge02=SimIcons1024!Radio Icon,0,96,24,24

Add the following after the [Window01] entry:

[Window02]
BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0
size_mm=156,49
position=8
visible=0
ident=RADIO_STACK_PANEL

gauge00=Bendix_King_Radio!Bendix-King Radio Xpndr,        0,0,156,49

The result will be what you see in the attached image.

Note. When selecting an IFR flight and contacting Clearance, the 6411 squawk code was entered into the Xpndr automatically, but in the CS Xpandr, nothing change (it remained 0000), so I think it will work for Radar Contact).

This is off the subject;  but can you tell me if it necessary
to both set the AP mode switch to TACAN  AND use the FSX keyboard command ( Ctl+Shf+n ) to
enable the BUFF to follow the FSX flight plan.  Or should
the plane follow the FSX flight plan by simply setting the
AP Mode Sw to "TACAN" ?   Does the Flight Director
switch on the Pilot's control panel also need to be set
to the FD position for the Buff to follow the FP.
Simply setting the AP Mode Sw to "TACAN" hasn't
worked for me.

I should work. It works for me as I'm still flying the flight GPS flight plan I used when I started to test it.
Is the NAV/GPS Switch set to CTRL+SHIFT+N? I can only assume that it isn't following the GPS plan because is not set to ly the GPS plan. :(
