MDU? Do you mean the CDU on the centre consol?
There is no CDU 2D Panel. I move my view in VC so I have a good view and good access to the keys on it so I am able to enter everything on it.
I usually create the route/SID/STAR and cruise altitude on the World Map before pressing FLY to start the flight, and then it is already entered into the CDU.
