Title: 777-300 ER Captain Sim Post by jeangab35 on May 25th, 2022 at 10:42am
Hello.
I am located in Saint Malo Bretagne France. I bought the 777 300ER CaptainSim via the “Market Place” of FS 2020. Never worked properly Don’t follow the flight plan Does not manage programmed altitude contines to rise The vertical stabilizer is permanently oriented to the left or right, which causes the aircraft to tilt to the right or left FMC cannot re-enter the correct parameters of the 10° flaps imposed instead of 5 or 15 APU start and APU Gen does not need to start the engines before the push. Can you help me and advise me? In advance thank you for your help. Cordially Jeangab35 |

Hello.
I remain surprised. I received no comment on the series of malfunctions I encounter with this B 777 from CaptainSim. Am I the only one who’s been through this :-? ? Have a good week. Jeangab35 |

The 777-300ER always holds the cruise altitude for me, not sure of altitude constraints in SID's/STAR's, so I use the altitude to hold those (i.e. if the altitude constraint is 6,000, then I set the altitude to 6000, that way it doesn't climb above 6000ft). I can't get it to follow the descent path after reaching TD, but that also applies in the 747-8i. Quote:

Hello, MARK
Well, I applied all of your recommendations and now everything is working properly. Too bad that at the purchase of this aircraft the buyers are not informed of these malfunctions and the solutions to be applied. Thank you so much for your help. |

The descripton in the MSFS Marketplace does say "Essential functionality paired with default 747 (must be installed) systems simulation" for the functionality, but as for the other problems, I've never experienced any of them - My MSFS settings are the same as how I set them up when I got access to it during the first Alpha testing phase and had problems with the Legacy Flight Mode.

It might work better all around with the 777WorldlinerRS Mod 1.3.2 fix. No guarantee (I don't own the MSFS Marketplace version of the -300ER; my mod works with the MSFS Marketplace 200ER RR & PW versions), but it might be worth a try. I give instructions for doing this in the following thread. Most of it is about the Marketplace 777-200ERs, but if you scroll down I explain how to do the same thing using the Marketplace 777-300ER. The instructions need to be followed carefully. Check in the Marketplace that your 777-300ER is up to date. https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1697590840 The zip folder containing the 777WorldlinerRS Mod 1.3.2 fix files can be found here: https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1682002593/0 Mike |

Hi Rodolfo, Are you sure you have the 777-300ER modification active? The way to check is to load the aircraft and then look in the weights tab. The Maximum Gross Weight (MGW) should be 777,000 pounds (divide by 2.2 to get amount in kilograms). Maximum fuel should be 47890 gallons, or somewhat over 300,000 lbs (again, divide by 2.2 to get kilograms). The unmodified 777-300ER uses the weights and fuel of the default 747, which are much higher. So please check to see if the WorldlinerRS 1.3.2 modification is active. If it isn't report back & I will try to talk you through it. The instructions are a little tricky. I have the MSFS Market Place 777-200ER PW & RR versions and I have the WorldlinerRS modification working well with them. I own the 777-300ER purchased direct from Captain Sim, which also works well with the WorldlinerRS mod, and I am very confident it can be made to work with the MSFS Market Place 777-300ER. Mike |

Hello
I was wondering if the B-777 is working perfectly with MSFS 2020 also with Navigraph and simbrief ? I am waiting to buy it :) thanks. Also I guess I will need to buy the base pack B777-200 ? Have a great day :) Ritch |

Hi Ritch, You don't need to buy the 777-200 to get the 777-300ER. They are separate, stand-alone aircraft. Read the Captain Sim store info for the ones you want before you buy. Some 777 versions do reqquire a basepack but the -200ER and the -300ER do not. They all work OK in MSFS (2020). I wouldn't say they are "perfect." Unmodified, they have panels and weights more like a 747-8 (which you must have installed in your MSFS for the CS 777s to work). They work better with the Worldliner version 1.3.2. modification, available on this forum here: https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1682002593 With that mod, they work better. With that mod, the -200ER, the -300ER and the 777F work OK with downloading the flight plan from Simbrief, although the downloads usually miss oceanic waypoints like 50N30W - those have to be added manually. They are still somewhat buggy but I enjoy flying them on long-hauls. I recommend you buy direct from the Captain Sim store, not the MSFS Market Place, as there are more liveries available for the store versions. Also, the mod I just described works easily with the Captain Sim store versions but needs some tweaking to work with the MSFS Market Place versions and it does not work at all with some of them (I describe how to do this in another thread on this forum.) Hope this helps! Mike |
