It is (csx is the designation for FSX/SE/P3D3), so it should work unless he has the P3D4/5 version of the 757 Captain III (757-2PW) Base Pack 1.7 [P3D4/5] (csy572_1700.exe).
I have to assume he knows it's for FSX/SE/P3D3 because you can see it on the image of the installer error. :-/
