This seems to be a common FSX/P3D problem where the engines struggle to light off and the engine speeds drop significantly before winding up. This is of course far from realistic and the 757 and 767 do not have this issue. It also sounds dumb to hear the engine sound like it's sputtering. My current remedy is to put the respective engine to full throttle until it has proper ignition.
