Hi all,

Does CS 767 (or 757 and 737 for that matter) auto-tune frequencies if I have an ILS approach selected in DEP/ARR? I have done one flight where I wasn’t sure if that was the case, so I tuned it manually, but it’d be good to know if it auto-tunes in the same manner another company’s 737/747/777 do it. And if it does, at what point does it tune to the correct frequency? The reason I ask is because I didn’t see the proper frequency tuned on auto setting - granted I was still in cruise, so perhaps I was a little far out? I didn’t want to take too many chances so I played it safe.

767 and 757 should, but not the 737 (that might change with the Retrofit EICAS option (coming soon) though).

At my company our 757/767s never auto tune, but of course the 764 does. ILSs have to always be manually tuned. Maybe it's an option on other 757/767s? But I've never seen it.

As i remember 767does not autotune, aswell as 757. Maybe i am wrong idk, ive never seen that before :(

When you enter the ILS approach, the frequency and runway heading is automatically noted. You can  see the info on the APPROACH REF page, but you won't see it entered on the ILS tuning radio until you're within range of the ILS.
Note. It might be earlier than when you're within range, but I've never looked to find out if that's the case.
