I may be doing something wrong but I'm pretty sure when on an ILS approach once the GS intercepts you switch to the second autopilot and at 1500 ft the flare arms. I have both nav radios tuned but when I press the second autopilot button it just switches from A to B. I'm pretty sure both should be able to be active at once.

To arm approach (first 3 steps in any order)
   1. Set both NAV radio course
   2. Set both NAV radio frequency
   3. Switch both NAV radios to manual
   4. Push Approach (APP) switch
   5. Verify Approach is armed

After Approach is armed:
   6. Select CMD on Second A/P

I did all that but it didn't work. It just switched from A to B. I tried several times once at like 1400 ft. Didn't work at all.

It was my bad. I forgot that some runways aren't equipped for it. I just did a flight into Cleveland and it worked fine. It just slipped my mind until now that it won't work if the runway isn't set up for it.
