When I originally got the 707 Captain, I flew it everywhere! Hot and cold places, and I don't remember ever seeing the warning. In hotter climates, I tend to use the window heaters in Low, whereas in colder regions, I place them in High. And I always turned them on while on the ground, before engine start, not once I reached the higher altitudes where the temperatures go well into the sub-zero temperatures. :-/

Thanks for letting me know about your interesting procedure regarding window heat that I am not aware of before.

Meanwhile when I have chance, I will do another ground testing or making first flight, I will let you know if your switch change trick works OR will post screenshot proof if the warning light goes off while on airport ground.
