Title: L1011 Config Mods, Tutorial, Throttles Post by Tim Capps on Nov 9th, 2020 at 4:31pm
1. Are the ones in the tutorial still advised? Any other ones that are advised?
2. The tutorial is good (although not the easiest approach for a beginner) but any others out there recommended? 3. Finally, there seems to be no way to hold speed in cruise, other than by close observation and occasional throttle adjustments. I am assuming this is correct. Autoland works like a charm. But I always think "WTH Lockheed?" when I use the autopilot ;D |

ATS hold speed but in real life ATS was used only during approach, cruise power was adjusted manually

Thanks. I don't mind babysitting the speed, but good to know there's that option.

I use the Autothrottle to hold the speed during cruise. I usually set it to around 270kts-300kts depending on altitude (whatever keeps it close to M0.84). |
