With p3dv5.1 inside the cockpit the longer the sim runs the darker it gets have to turn overhead light on this is with p3d brightness all the way to the right

P3D updated the way they do HDR lighting in regards to enhanced atmospherics. It is very dark in the cockpit (realistic if you ask me) but since CS decided not to allow any panel lighting during the daytime ;) , it's hard to see switches and stuff. Here's a screenshot of about 11am local time with EA on:

Flood lights may help.

Help yes but still shouldnt need them until night time.
