Take a look at page 79 of the CS757CAPTAINIII_MANUAL_PART1.pdf. All of the people under SPECIAL THANKS were the beta testers for the 757 Captain III. Notice that almost all are Captains/First Officers? In fact they are/were all 757 pilots, except for me. During beta it went through quite a few changes with taxiing, and they were happy with the way it was at in the end (the same as it is now). Knowing this might help you to understand why you probably won't see any changes to the way the 757 III taxis.

So you're saying that captains and first officers agreed that it's totally fine that aircraft that weighs 115 tons, or any vehicle for that matter that weighs as much, will stop in seconds when on  idle thrust, from, let's say 30kt while taxiing on flat surface? I meeeaaaaan... OK.
