For those seeking something different.
Download L1011 sound pack from https://simviation.com/hjg/downloads.htm
File 'RR RB211 TURBOFAN (FSX)'

Back up original sound pack, delete SOUND folder content and copy new sound set.
Replace sound.cfg with attached below.

Things were adjusted for P3D 50% sound volume - default.

( additionally i have reduced flaps and APU sounds by 50% )

Great engine sound but you lose quite a few sounds in the cockpit. It's weird when flipping switches doesn't make any sound.

It's not so simple, I made the same mistake. I realize this is an old dead thread, but the information could be useful to a Tristar newbie.

You actually need to modify the original sound.cfg file to use the new TSS or HJG sound files instead of the other way around. Otherwise you lose all of the wonderful L-1011 cockpit noise and alarms. It takes some time but I figured it out pretty quickly. I copied the engine portion of the sound.cfg from TSS and pasted it into the CS sound.cfg file with some modifications and it melded perfectly. The altitude C-chord is a must have, and if you don't do it this way you lose it and everything else.
