Title: Thrust levers oscillate (take 2)
Post by Louis Vallance on May 25th, 2020 at 7:29pm
I wasn't sure whether to add this to the existing thread about jittering throttles (https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1588159007/1#1) or to create a new thread, but I decided on the latter.

In my first thread (https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1590334559) I noted that the thrust levers oscillate when the thrust mode is IDLE A/T. I was directed to KConlon's post and my thread was locked without getting the chance to explain that my problem is different, so here we are.

My thrust levers are not jittering as you would see whenever a hardware throttle creates undesirable inputs. As you can see from my first video (https://youtu.be/1mzplHw20oI) the levers are NOT jittering, rather they are moving smoothly back and forth in a periodic motion.

I created a second video (https://youtu.be/uOOW-MN5v6E) which shows that the thrust levers move back and forth even in SPD A/T mode. At the 18 second mark, I physically pulled my hardware throttle back to idle. At the 22 second mark I also pressed the F1 key. As you can see, neither actions stop the oscillations from occurring.

I disabled active sky and disconnected my throttle and the issue persists exactly as illustrated in the aforementioned videos.

This is a bit of an immersion killer which I've only ever seen in the CS 767. I wonder if anyone else has noticed the same problem?

Best regards,

Louis

The same issue can be seen from another user here: https://youtu.be/u2D8MaOX_7M?t=28

i've noticed similar behavior of the throttle.
