Title: Aircraft doesn't follow flight path

After joining my route, the aircraft flies abeam the flight path instead of joining it. It appears to be setting a course for the next waypoint which is quite far away (>80nm) instead of making an s-turn. Is this the correct LNAV behaviour in the 767?
