Title: As promised some pics of my 767 homepit
Post by Kees on May 13th, 2020 at 7:37pm
In another topic, I promised to post some pics of my 767 homepit. I am allready building for about 13 years now. Allmost all the parts are selfmade. First it was built for that other 767  ;), but I am now reprogramming it for the new 767 of Captain Sim. So I can fly it in the 64 bits P3D. All the electronics communicate with P3D via the interface cards from Open Cockpits.

Great looking cockpit.  I am building a 767 cockpit as well with extensive use of OpenCockpits hardware.  The project had stalled since I was using another company 767 on FSX and I was really getting tired of the old platform and was considering tearing down to build a different plane so that I could use P3D.  Will definitely be getting this Captain Sim 767 and utilizing the SDK to continue the project in glorious P3D!!!
I would love to see the full set of 2D panels available and also hope that I can have a FMC display with just the display portion as I have scratch built one around a 5" LCD monitor.

I also built mine around the L e v e l d and with the interfaces of Open cockpits. I stayed with FSX, because there was no 767 for P3D. So I am happy that the CS one is now availble. I allready reprogrammed all my buttons, switches, rotaries and lights to use with CS767. It is all working fine now. Although I would like to be able to write directly to the IND´s from SIOC. However, CS does not allow that. As a result, the Rotary encoders do not run as fine as in the another company.
All I have to program now is my self-built FMC.

Besides, your setup looks good too!

Is there any chance the folks at Captain Sim can see this and make some accommodation/suggestion?   Rotary performance is very important on home cockpit building!!!

One other thought, does anyone know if the Go-Flight MCP is compatible?

I had put it in my 767 as a stop-gap measure, but it has worked so well with LD767 that I haven't gotten around to making one of my own yet.

Dumb question...

How did you get all of those 2d gauges on your MIP?  I only see the VC in CaptainSim.

Did you use FSPanel Studio to reposition them?

Thanks!

Ugh.

No radar altimeter on this model.   :(

I will also have a blank spot on my MIP since LD767 had one.

Any chance the CS guys are seeing this?

Wonder if I should put it on the wish list...
