Title: Little Project I Had Worked On Post by Alex T on May 1st, 2020 at 12:16am
This is just a fun project for myself I have been working on for a few days. I did something similar for the 757 but stopped distributing it once it was brought to my attention that one of the sounds that was given to me was from another developer. I made a completely overhauled version for both the 757 and 767 and all the logics are exactly as Boeing says they are (I did all my research).
All sounds are either from video recordings, recorded by me, recorded by airline maintenance technicians (Steve), audio recordings from other airline personnel, or from my talented friend Nick. (Everyone has given me permission to make a video) Gauge Limitation: It can have trouble transitioning from start sounds to loop sounds on slower systems, so you may hear a few milliseconds of a pause between sounds, nothing you can do to fix it. Yes!!!!! I know you can't hear a hydraulic or fuel pump from the cockpit, I made them very loud for the video and they're to only be heard from the cabin once I get that all set up. https://youtu.be/lUJG24rSuto List of sounds: Battery (Inside Only) Standby Power (Inside Only) Equipment Cooling (Outside and Inside) Fuel Pumps (Outside and Inside [optional] ) Hydraulic Pumps (Air and Elec) (Outside and Inside [optional] ) APU (Outside Only) Gear/Flap/Speedbrake Drag Rumble (Outside and Inside) 757/767 - Drag rumble with gear/speedbrakes extended, or flaps greater than 20 degrees! silent at 110KTAS and gets loudest at 350KTAS 757/767 - Bus source change sound happens exactly as real life in priority order of the bus source (GPU, on-side IDG, APU, cross-side IDG, off) So when you start an engine, you'll hear the usual "clunk" sound as each respective AC Bus changes sources 767 - Air driven hydraulic pump follows all exact logics (except for the 15 second delay when it's used to help out the primary pumps) including: flap extension/retraction on the ground, liftoff to gear up, flap retraction in the air, from flaps extension until speedbrakes stowed after landing 757/767 - Flap motor only comes on when flaps are actually moving, not with the slats 757/767 - Gyro sound only comes on when the appropriate bus is powered |

Sounds very cool! I am using your 757 mod in the 767 (with mixed results lol)
Looking forward to install them when they're ready! |

To everyone: I've made a few fixes and updates to the package, so please delete and reinstall!
Changelog >v1.0 - 30 Apr 2020 >Completely overhauled from previous 757 version. >v1.1 - 01 May 2020 >Fixed read-me file >Tweaked "Drag_rumble" logic so that it only comes on when BOTH side spoilers are at least 30% extended. Before, it was only based on one side - which led to a rumble when in a hard bank for spoilers. >Disabled gyro sound, was too intense no matter the volume. In the real cockpit it's very drowned out. >v1.2 - 02 May 2020 >Fixed logic error where ADP wouldn't come on for slats extending in the air >v1.21 - 03 May 2020 >Fixed gauge error that would arise from a wav file being accidentally left blank (parameter missing error) >v1.25 - 03 May 2020 >Fixed logic error where APU start sound would happen with the battery off |

Try again! Gotten plenty of emails saying thanks they work amazingly. Or email me with screenshots of your panel.cfg VC section 2 and sound project folder. |

Hi Arex
Thank you for your great works! But install procedure little bit wrong... NG: >Copy the "sound project 767" folder to "Prepar3D v4\Captain_Sim" OK:>Copy the "sound project 767" folder to "Prepar3D v4\Captain_Sim\767-II" This may be the reason why newmanix does not work ... |

question, after APU start, when you hit the APU GEN switch, the sound is too loud. Which sound is that in the .ini?

The sound of the generator taking over? Or the button? I have no control over the button. The generator pop is AC_SOURCE_CHANGE |
Title: Re: Little Project I Had Worked On Post by newmanix on May 4th, 2020 at 7:38pm
Thanks! Yes not the button.
Also, do you know which sound in the CS ini are the engine sounds? The engines are too quiet from the VC and with the new sounds even more so I cant hear the engines... |

Lower the cockpit sounds raise the engine sounds. |

Also it sounds like you may want to look at your windows speaker properties and make sure "Loudness Equalization" in the Enhancements tab is turned off, this can make sounds in P3D FSX sound crazy wrong volume. |
Title: Re: Little Project I Had Worked On Post by newmanix on May 4th, 2020 at 8:37pm
No. not enough. CS has an ini in the 767 folder similar to yours but the sounds of what's what is not labeled.
Also with your file, I cant hear the APU start or battery sound despite raising the vol to max in your ini |
Title: Re: Little Project I Had Worked On Post by Alex T on May 4th, 2020 at 9:11pm newmanix wrote on May 4th, 2020 at 8:37pm:
There are no engine sounds in any ini, they're in the sounds.cfg in the aircraft folder. Are you trying to hear the APU from the inside or outside? Mine don't start kicking on until the APU door is fully open, about 15 seconds after selecting start. |
Title: Re: Little Project I Had Worked On Post by newmanix on May 4th, 2020 at 9:21pm
Inside.

You can't hear an APU from the inside of really any plane, unless you're sitting maybe in the last 4-5 rows with the engines off, I don't have internal APU sounds. |

Ahh okay I thought that was part of the package. I misunderstood. Thx!
