Title: GSX
Post by Derek Soares on Apr 29th, 2020 at 4:52pm
Howdy Ya'll, every time I try to get GSX setup with the 767, none of the vehicles work. They don;t "connect" For example, the jetway comes into the Flight deck and the Cargo loaders are inside the engines.... Help?

You need to edit GSX. Or, you wait for someone else to do it, and they share the files. ;)

any chance for a gsx profile?

Its a Problem with every aircraft you've published, we never get a GSX config, Can you start including them on release or have one publicly available? If you look at the FSDT forums and all over people are looking for configs and not everyone knows how to make them

You just click edit aircraft in the menu, then move things around with your arrow keys and stuff using the 3D viewer. It's all in the GSX manual

No problem! There should be installation instructions with the profile. I am not at my home computer right now but if I remember correctly, it is in your users/Appdata/Roaming/Virtuali/767 or something along those lines. I can double check when I get home later today if you still need help!

Best to drop it right in the airceaft folder. If you drop it in virtuali it can accidentally be erased or reset. In the Aircraft folder it is safe :)

I prefer to place it in the P3Dv4\SimObjects\Aiplanes\aircraft (CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060) folder

Glad to hear that. I love GSX but man is it a pain to use if you have to configure it for a new plane.

I'm shocked no one has thought to add these lovely lines to the gsx.cfgs...

I'm not well versed in GSX cfgs, does this apply to the 767?  I notice the lines say 757 in them?  I'd like to add it in, just don't want to mess it all up.

Thanks for all you've added to the plane so far Alex

No worries was just being a pest! haha So yes this will work, what CS did was copy the names of the animations over from the 757 so in fact those triggers are all correct.

In p3d go to GSX and then use the aircraft configurator. See the gsx manual for instructions. You have to customize the doors.

After loading up a cold and dark state and operating jetways through GSX, I receive the error depicted in the attachment.   I tried similar scenarios with other aircraft, and so far this only occurs with the Captain Sim 767 in P3D v5.

As found out by other devs, DXGI errors are caused by running out of VRAM.
What video card are you using? and the texture resolution setting in p3dv5?

I am running an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU with the latest driver version as of today (445.87) and Texture Resolution is set to High - 2048x2048.

Still having issues with the sim crashing even after a clean install. It seems to only happen when switching to an exterior aircraft view while using GSX. Any help would be appreciated.

Post by morganthomas757 on Jun 20th, 2020 at 10:10am
Hi guys, I've created a GSX profile for the new 4 Door model of the 767, all doors are as accurate as I can make them. For simplicity there are no door open/closed checks.

Instructions in the zip file attached!

Enjoy! [smiley=smiley.gif]

For posterity... per the GSX Manual:

An airplane can be customized by creating a file named GSX.CFG, that needs to be
placed in the airplane Root folder, the same that contains the aircraft.cfg file. For
example, if you want to customize the default Boeing 747-400, you will have to create
a GSX.CFG file in the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\B747_400 folder.

In my sim, the gsx.cfg file goes in:
E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060

Title: CS 767 GSX config issue
Post by Mr.RedBull33 on Sep 26th, 2021 at 4:32am
Hi, I recently bought Captainsim 767 to my P3D v5 and it has been awesome when it comes to flying, But for me the experience with GSX for the CS767 hasn't been great. My Stairs on GSX wont position correctly to the CS767, The cargo loader wont position correctly and wont load any cargo, The Jetways wont position properly. The GSX hasnt configured the 767 for me idk why this is happening. I even tried installing a config file to AppData/Roaming/Virtuali but it wont word either. FYI I didnt had any file about CS767 in AppData/Roaming/Virtuali, I had to add the file that i had on my config it had the files that should be there before the config file so I added it to the AppData/Roaming/Virtuali. If anyone can help me to solve this issue you are a Legend Thanks.
