There is 13.1 difference in FPS between VC and External view, the external view providing fewer FPS than VC.

Even though the default values appear more positive, you need to remember that not everybody flies into default airports with sub standard default scenery.
I'd like to re-itterate my previous post, stating that i had no such issue with your 757 Captain III using my referenced Custom Display Settings or other high-end aircraft addons. |
The sim is also now struggling to load the 767 after making the changes. Able to select it through the menu etc, select OK to launch, then the sim just crashes to the desktop. This is what event viewer says about it:

My sim will not load this aircraft, default 2K livery or my own repaints with the default display settings. |
UPDATE: Have managed to change to DEFAULT settings in game, after loading up with my usual settings. In DEFAULT scenery scenario, there is no drop in FPS in EXTERNAL view and a gain of approx 5 FPS in the VC.
