Title: No lights upon reinstallation (CS 767-300)
Post by Aang72 on Mar 28th, 2020 at 8:19pm
I recently tried getting back into the 767-300, as the initial learning curve was too great.  After using another 3rd party aircraft (not a 767),I have since gotten a handle on this.  Since my initial installation of this software, I had uninstalled FSX twice and reinistalled this program both times, but haven't used it until today.

When I went to use it, I noticed there were 0 external lights, including landing, but the landing "reflection" light came on.

I am not sure I am in the right channel, but this wasn't an issue when I first installed it. I have looked through the other topics.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, and did a complete wipe of of the files CS uses.

So I am stuck.  If anyone knows what I did wrong or what I can to fix, please help

Do you have the following files in the FSX\Effects folder (type cs767 in the search bar in Windows Explorer (see attached image)):

cs767_navwhi.fx
cs767_navgre.fx
cs767_navred.fx

You may as well check on these ones too:

cs767_smoke_dark.fx
cs767_edge.fx
cs767_sf.fx

although I don't think they have anything to do with the lights.

I have those files, and they were last "modified" 2/6/2006

I have figured it out.  Awhile ago I installed a program to display better lights,  it kept crashing my FSX so I uninstalled it.  Since I have been using another company aircraft almost exclusively, I didn't notice it not returning the normal gauges and lights back to normal.

I used gauges_recovery_fsx.zip and it corrected the problem.

Sorry for this.
