Title: Navigation using flight plans
Post by TheLogan on Jan 19th, 2020 at 3:24am
Is it possible to navigate the 737-200 using a flight plan and sids and stars? I assume not but I thought I would ask.
Many thanks,
Logan

Yes you can, but you need to create, and save, the flight plan using the default flight planner. There is no VNAV, so you need to control the climb/descent yourself.

Note. I often create flight plans, with SID and STAR, using FSC, or PFPX, then save them as an FSX, or P3D, flight plan. I load them in the flight sim with the CS 737 selected, and use GPS navigation to follow the route.

Thanks so much, I thought I would have to use the GPS but I thought I would see if there was anything else. See you in the sky!
