Title: After SSD migration: all CS planes wont work.
Post by SoulFlight on Jan 7th, 2020 at 11:36am
Hello guys,

I recently migrated my FSX install to an SSD using partition wizard to copy the whole partition it is installed on. Since I was doing that all my CS planes seem to be broken:

707 has no gears
767 has missing click spots in the VC
737-200 and 727 cause CTD when selected in the aircraft menu.

I already reinstalled the 757 v3 because of that issue, so I guess it has something to do with the registry entries and DLL files of the planes.

However, all of the above are heavily modified (textures, V1 gauge, CIVA INS....) and it would mean a loooot of work to reinstall them.

So i would like to ask if I can fix the registry paths manually in some way.

thanks in advance.

Unfortunatley reinstall is the only way.

Backup everything you have modified before you reinstall the aircraft. After the reinstall, paste the modified backup files, and hopefully everything will work okay.

Note. I make a few modifications to the aircraft.cfg's, and panel.cfg's of a lot of Captain Sim aircraft, so every reinstall, I either have to redo them, or I unzip, or paste the backups again. They have always worked after doing that.
