Did you reboot your computer after installing the latest version? That might help.

Just did a complete Uninstall and reinstall. I deleted all the folders that were hidden that were "Captain_Sim". Cleaned my PC. Redownloaded install apps from Captian Site. Added exclusions to my PC protections and allowed Captain_Sim folder through the firewall. I even turned off Antivirus prior to installing Captain Sim. After it was all complete....STILL NO sounds in the Cockpit, ONLY engine sounds. All my drivers are up to date and even rebooted pc and unplugged all audio devices to let them rebuild. Also deleted Audio driver in Device manager to let rebuild new one and restarted PC and nothing . This is crazy !!!

also...did some digging around. In my Apps/p3d v4 folder where the DLL.XML file is located , I only see this:

Captain_Sim\bin\cs.sound.dll...….

of the 2 captain sim sound DLL's written in the DLL.XML file. I don't see the cs.sound.panel.dll file in the DLL.XML file.

Is the cs.sound.panel.dll suppose to be installed into the DLL.XML file? if so, captain sim didn't install it in the install?

thanks

Well its fixed now. After restarting my PC over and over and over and still no luck...I had to power it down and turn off the main power switch to the pc tower located in the back, which turned off all electricity to the PSU. after a few minutes turned on the power switch in the back , than powered up the PC and voila!!! it works. guess it took that power switch in the back to do a hard reset for the drivers

I've never had to go to that exteme to get the sounds to work, so I don't know why you did.

Oh well. At least it's working now. :)

Yes.

Most likely your AV has blocked our installer from writing into the DLL.XML file.

I tried reinstalling then restarting and that didn't work. I have a laptop so I can't just shut off the power supply like that.

All I did was change the volume on a number of the sounds and that seems to have worked. The only sounds I don't get are the calls for "V1", "Rotate", "V2". I hear "80 knots" loud and clear though.

Let's do not mixup NO SOUND and LOW VOLUME sound issues as they are totally different.
The LOW VOLUME is not even an issue. Just set any volume in the ...P3D4v4\Captain_Sim\757-III\sound.ini.
If you don't like some sound itself, just replace a WAV file. It's an open source thing so any user can do whatever makes him happy.

Now back to the topic.
The NO SOUND issue caused by your AV which blocking our installer from writing into the DLL.XML file. This may help: https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1554738484

If it doesnt,
- Add an AV exclusion or turn it off
- Download https://www.captainsim.com/tools/dll-xml-cs-sound-fix.exe
- Run the exe.

If still no joy,
Open %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\dll.xml

And MANUALLY add the following:
<Launch.Addon>
    <Name>Captain Sim Sound</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>Captain_Sim\bin\cs.sound.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

Roger that 100%. I chose to edit certain sounds louder, such as buttons, switches, and levers. Much easier than working with the .ini file as it has over 600 entries in it which are not correlated in language I can understand to specific controls on the panel.
That aside, I still do not hear the "V1, Rotate, V2" callouts, although I do hear "80 knots" distinctly. Listening to those 4 callouts native with a utility, they all seem to be about the same volume. Could you offer a thought on why that is the case? I will check the .ini file to ensure they have the same magnitude multiplier. Could be that.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Rick

Mea culpa on the callouts. I had overlooked the need to tic the vspeeds on the takeoff page.
Sorry
Best regards,
Rick
