Title: CTD when selecting STAR for EDDK another company NavDataP
Post by Tobat on Jun 9th, 2019 at 2:44pm
Hi,
I am using P3D v4.5.12.30293, W10/64 and CS B742 Basepack and CSE 574_4100; another company NavDataPro

When I fly to Cologne EDDK I always get a CTD whenever I try to select the Arrival page (LSK2R EDDK) on the CDU. I had this also with previous versions and it only occurs on flights to EDDK.
AIRCAC changes have not solved the problem. It is kind of annoying because EDDK is my base. Any ideas?

Regards

Same here, but FSX and also using another company NavDataPro.
Example:
I parked the 757 at EDDK wanted to fly to EDDM. I put/ entered on the RTE page: Origin: EDDK, Dest: EDDM.
And ........when selecting at the DEP/ARR page the EDDM ARR page to get the EDDM Arrivals, the CDU shows weird things at the first page. Please see the pic 2.

I then did/ tried: EDDM to EDDK with .........the same result, see pic 1.

Threre are some more examples.

From my point of view, there is an issue between the another company NavDataPro and the CS 757 CDU......, or the 757 CDU can not read the another company NavDataPro data "properly".

By the way, that issue leads to CDT.

CS Team, any ideas?

I'm using Navigraph's 1906 AIRAC, and after seeing the original post, I set up a flight a flight in P3Dv4, from EGLL to EDDK, where selecting EDDK as the destination, or selecting the Runway/STAR/Transition, for EDDK worked fine. I tried it just now in FSX, after seeing the latest posts, and it worked fine in FSX too.
No CTD's, and the ARR page for EDDK looks like it should in FSX and P3Dv4.

OK. Thank you Markoz.

So, as I said, there must be an issue with the another company NavDataPro or the CS 757 CDU can not read the another company NavDataPro "properly".

I'm using another company NavDataPro, right now Cycle V. 1906 R.1.
Unfortunately I do not have Navigraph's 1906 AIRAC and can give a try.

Does anybody have the same experience with the another company NavDataPro?

Likewise, Mark.Just tried same route, no probs. Latest Navigraph.

Hi,
at least I am not alone ....  :)

Now I am having 'weird things' as well. I flew EDDK ESSA recently and when selecting ESSA STAR it looked as strange as on the screenshot above. And after 5 seconds I got CTD.
I am wondering why only STARs are affected.

@Markoz:
Thanks for your efforts to reproduce the bug. I have ablolutely no idea what the difference between your and my installation could be.  :(

Hi all,

Yesterday I bought the Navigraph's 1907 AIRAC and changed from another company NavDataPro to Navigraph's AIRAC.

And………….surprise, surprise: no problems at all.

Now again: there must be an issue with the another company NavDataPro or the CS 757 CDU can not read the another company NavDataPro "properly".

@Tobat:  Markoz does not use another company NavDataPro. He uses Navigraph's AIRAC. That’s the difference.

Cheers

Ah ok, must have overread that.

I may not have made it clear enough that I don't use it.

Note. I did try NavDataPro for one year when it first came out, I ran it concurrently with Navigraph, but once the year (13 Cycles) was up I stayed with Navigraph, and not NavDataPro.

According to the another company forum the problem has been fixed.
