I have no steering after normal landing.

The Autopilot seems to want to continue to track the ILS after landing, so I turn the Autopilot off by clicking on the DISENGAGE switch on the MCP (this triggers the red warning sign, and the siren, so I click on the DISENGAGE switch again, and then I click on the Master Caution/Warning switch to silence the siren).

Mark,
That is exactly the way to disengage the ROLLOUT function of the autopilot after an auto-land approach. The autopilot will track the LOC and not allow you to turn off the runway. Yes, the warning lights and noise are a distraction but just pushing the red warning light on the glare shield will make it right.

BTW, how did you make out with WIN-10 install?

Thanks Lou. I was really only saying what I found that I had to do to be able to exit the runway after landing the 757, but it's nice to know that that's the way it behaves in real life, because I wasn't sure if it was.

I got it done and it took me longer to do it than it should have, but at least it's working fine now.
