Title: Editing model variation errors
Post by Xander975 on Feb 20th, 2019 at 2:48pm
Recently I bought myself the Rolls Royce and Freighter expension.

Being someone that flies planes with a model as close to that of the real world, I tried to download the freighter livery of DHL with reg G-BMRH from the ACE installer and chanced the engine variation from the RB535E4B to the RB535C.(as this plane uses the C variant and not the E4B variant)

Doing that gave me the following error:

---------------------------
Something went wrong...
Press Ctrl+C to copy this message and report error:
value: ac_all_ui_type
mid: 804
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

How can this be solved?

FSX or P3D4?

This is a problem I am having with the P3Dv4 version.
I followed the instructions on the update page that popped up upon the first time I loaded up the 757 freighter variant but that did not help unfortunately.

Installing the base pack, RR expension and the freighter expension is no the issue. Even installing the updates is not giving me any error.
What is the problem, as described above, is that even after installing everything correctly I get an error when ever I try to change the engine variant of a livery from the RB535E4B variant to the RB535C variant.

RB535E4B variant to the RB535C variant.

I may be mistaken, but nowhere in ACE is there an RB535C variant. In other words, you are trying to modify something that maybe only CS have access to or does not exist. Little wonder it then throws up an error.

Any livery?
Any aircraft and/or engine types change?

Okay, so I take the DHL livery for example, since that is the one I noticed the issue with at first.

The specific lievery is, as it is named in ACE, 757-200PCF PCF DHL G-BMRH.
When I want to download this livery from the ACE client, it installs with the Rolls Royce RB211-535E4B engine(in ACE it is shortened to RB535E4B, see Attechments).

If I look up this registration on Airliners.net it will show up the DHL livery with a Rolls Royce RB211-535C engine(in ACE it is shortened to RB535C, see Attechments).

When I go to the local tab, I can select the liveries I have installed. In this case the livery mentioned above.

When I select it, it gives me the option to switch the engine variant. Here is where I get the error because when I want to select either the RB535C engine variant or the RB535E4 engine variant, INSTEAD of the RB535E4B engine variant, I get an error that says the following:

---------------------------
Something went wrong...
Press Ctrl+C to copy this message and report error:
value: ac_all_ui_type
mid: 804
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Saving after closing the error only brings up the error up a few more times and than saying the following:

---------------------------
'' is not found in your simulator.
Make sure '' is installed. (e3)
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

But if I were to download the 757-200SF FedEx livery, that installs with the RB535E4 engine variant, and I change the engine variant to either the RB535C or RB5354B engine variant and try to save it, the error does not pop up and the plane loads up with the selected engine variant that I want to use one it.
The same goes for all the Pratt & Whitney engine varients. No error popping up.

Does that mean you have a problem with 757-200PCF PCF DHL G-BMRH livery only?

No, the error is not specific to that livery, only specific to the model, so in this case the 757-200PCF RB535E4B model and the 757-200PF RB535E4B. Which are also labeled as model 806 and model 606 respectively in the top right above the dropdown menu.

There's no the -200PCF model with RB535С engines. That's what ACE is trying to say.
We'll make the error sound more articulate next update.

That is very unfortunate.
Is there a way to use the DHL G-BMRH livery on the 757-200SF instead of the PCF variant, since the real world equivalent with the same reg is also a 757-200SF
Nevermind that, I found out how to access the Painter mode.
