Title: Engine Start?
Post by Bigt on Jan 2nd, 2019 at 10:46am
Is this going to be fixed? I can't perform a proper engine start and have to use the Control+E to get them running.

I don't think there is a bug as it does work for me and many others.
Please check the following:
Is the APU on?
Is the APU bleed air on?
Is the isolation switch on?
Are both packs off?
Are engine cut-off switches off?

Then switch the engine start on #2 engine to GND.
Wait for an N2 of about 23% and then switch on #2 engine cut-off switch to provide fuel
Then it has to start.

The engine start runs well and in its time sequence better than in the previous models, where the engines lay down quasi an express launch. The only problem, which I had posted here but before, the EGT takes after connecting the respective fuel control switch to about 170 ° C, then goes back to about 70 ° C and then only to rise to the final value. That does not seem to me to be correct.

No issues whatsoever using the OH panel engine start switches. Has worked a dream for me as per other Boeing aircraft.

APU is ON
APU BLEED is ON
ISOLATION SWTCH is ON
Bleed air near 40
ENGINE RUN Switches are OFF
Engine Start switch #2 to GND
Both bleeds drop to under 20 and nothing happens

I have been having the same issue and now CTRL+E does not even get N2 starting to turn.

Have you turned both Packs off?

I thought I had Packs OFF but apparently not...I did a test with them off and engine start via the overhead panel is working fine.

Not following checklist + me = idiot.
