I never noticed it before, but then that's because I don't use the external view much when on the ground, except for using the Locked Spot view (occasionally looking over the tail of the aircraft, towards the front, when taxiing), and certainly not an external view looking at the nose wheel. But after reading this post, I checked up on it, and found that it's the same for me! :(
