Does this happen if you switch to a default FSX aircraft, like the C172? To avoid any issues with the more advanced aircraft, I always switch to the default C172, then, to the next advanced addon aircraft. I must admit, I don't remember having that problem switching between the same aircarft type, but I don't normally switch between different variants after I have completed a flight.
