Title: Brightness of landing lights
Post by Alcides Segovia on Aug 7th, 2018 at 12:49pm
Wondering which way I can reduce the brightness of these lights. Even at 12PM in a sunny day I can see those lights illuminating the ground like it’s kidnight making it wash out white.

At night I can’t even see the centerline because it’s so bright.

The LL are adjustable (REGULAR-LOW) via ACE.

To be honest that's not enough. Even on low it will brightly illuminate the runway and taxiways on a sunny day. Is there a cfg entry that can be edited?

Thanks

Edit the following files (with Notepad):

cs757_g_nose.fx
cs757_g_taxi.fx
cs757_g_turn.fx
cs757_g_wing1.fx
cs757_g_wing2.fx

They are found in the P3Dv4\Effects folder.

If you you click on Regular, or Low, in the ACE, and accept the changes, you will change them back unless you modify the original files (not recommended) found in P3Dv4\Captain_Sim\757-III\ace\reflection\100 and P3Dv4\Captain_Sim\757-III\ace\reflection\070

Back up the original files before making any changes! ;)

Replace P3Dv4 with FSX, FSX-SE, or P3Dv3 for the 32bit version.

This may be a real dumb question, but what do you edit them to?

Turn then "off"?
