Title: Engine Stop Intermittently Mid-flight
Post by starseed on Feb 17th, 2018 at 1:37am
I don't know if anyone else has reported this. My engines just shut off intermittently in flight for no reason. I know this is not normal. I do not have any failures armed and some flights I can complete with no problems. If I walk away for a minute sometimes I find my aircraft stalled in a complete nose dive.Or my auto pilot will disconnect randomly.  I would really like to get to the bottom of this. Is there a solution?

Wow, is there no one that can help? I find it hard to believe I am the only one having this problem. Please any suggestions.

Are you on P3D4.2? (make sure you got the 4.2 in the P3D4 ABOUT menu)

This can be the reason. Try not to and see what happens.

Do you actually SEE the 4.2 in the P3D4 ABOUT menu?

Sir, I am not new at this and I know when there is something wrong. I can not complete a flight with out the engines shutting off in mid flight and of course I installed P3d4.2 .No other aircraft I have from CS does this 777 works great as well as the 737 and the L10-11 its just the new 757. I would like a solution since It is not working properly. There are others that are experiencing the same thing.

1. Please disable your antivirus (including windows defender)
2. Reinstall the product (the 757 Base + hotfix2).
3. Disable ALL P3D4 add-ons.
4. Perform a test flight. The antivirus (including windows defender) must be OFF.

As I mentioned in previous posts I did a clean install with the update hotfix and I do NOT have any antivirus or defender running at all. The only add-on.All I have is Active Sky did a flight with out and same result. Why does it only effect the 757 and not any other aircraft. It is something in the 757 obviously or it would happen with other aircraft.

If you have Carenado aircraft and Vpilot, model matching imports the Carenado aircraft. This causes engine cutoffs because of some weird anti piracy stuff in their code. Go into vpilot and uncheck all Carenado aircraft in model matching. Your random engine cutoffs will stop.

The ticket make no sense because we reply in the forum as per your request:

As for the issue itself, a half of it is solved and appears to be not the 757 issue.
We strongly suspect the last half (the A/P disconnection) is your system specific issue as well.
