Title: 757 ACE manager
Post by Evan Schaefer on Feb 8th, 2018 at 12:31am
Hey so I was trying to install a Iceland air livery for the captain sim 757-200 and it says the plane is there but it does not show up on the select aircraft screen on fsx. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

How did you add it? ACE, or manually? You won't see te new livery, if FSX was running when you added it. Exit FSX, then restart FSX, an you should see it.

If you did it manually, can you copy and paste the last [fltsim.xx] from the aircraft.cfg, found in the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B757-200. It should look something like this:

[fltsim.30]
title=Captain Sim 757-200 FSX 30
sim=cs757-200RR
model=RR
panel=
sound=RR
texture=flyjet
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=G-FJEB
atc_airline=Fly Jet
atc_flight_number=757
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=757-200 RR
ui_variation=Fly Jet
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"
ui_createdby="Captain Sim"
description=757 Captain (757-200 Base Pack) v.4.6\n(c) 2011 Captain Sim \nwww.captainsim.com
ui_wglts=0

The following are the most common entries that cause the new livery not to be visible:

[fltsim.30] <- There is more than 1 entry [fltsim.XX]. Each entry should be sequencial, so [fltsim.31] follows [fltsim.30]
sim=cs757-200RR <- Not entered correctly
model=RR <- Not entered, or not entered correctly
texture=flyjet <- Wrongly named folder (spelling mistake)
