Not sure if this is a bug on not but the only light that works for me in the day is LT Override or the Dome. Flying in times such as dusk or dawn or ever when there is dark cloud around and the vc is dark you should be able to stick the panel lights on so that you can see the instruments better.

I believe this is being address. Honestly, this style of virtual cockpit lighting hasn't been seen with new products for a very long time. Everyone offers fully functional night lighting.

Agreed, raised this in bug tracking - textures feed with examples.
