Title: CS737-200 ISG FMS Control Gauge Post by fsxpaul on Mar 13th, 2017 at 12:57am
This gauge will enable the ISG Smiths FMS to control LNAV flight navigation.
This is a viable solution for those that fly on Vatsim and other online flight services that use current AIRAC cycles with ATC procedures. You must own Integrated Simavionics Group 1 (ISG1) ver 1.8.0 Update/Patch for this gauge to function properly. Additionally, the heading bug will automatically adjust while in 'LNAV' mode. A Navigation Display can optionally be integrated in the virtual cockpit in place of the radar display. Now available in the Avsim Library, search for: cs737_isg_control.zip |

Hello fsxpaul, I am testing the ISG integration, and works very fine.
But when I clic on ND (VC view) to get de 2d view, when I close it the ND 2d doesn't back to VC view. Are there any way to do it? Thank you very much. |

This is great Paul, thanks again.
Am I missing something? Can someone tell how to engage LNAV mode? Is the MDU meant to be installed? |
Title: Re: CS737-200 ISG FMS Control Gauge Post by fsxpaul on Apr 16th, 2017 at 10:58am
To activate LNAV:
1. Flight plan loaded into FMS 2. After take-off, both AP paddles up 3. AP heading select engaged (in down position) 4. Click 'LNAV' icon (turns light yellow when engaged) |

For those that have the V-One gauge installed, copy-and-paste the code below into your panel.cfg to have all icons display properly.
Code (] [Window01):

Hi Paul thanks for replying. All works as it should. Thanks for your help.
The only thing is that all my icons now sit in bottom middle of my screen instead of the bottom left. I have everything the same as in your post above including position=6 which I believe should put the icons in the bottom left corner. Any suggestions? |
Title: Re: CS737-200 ISG FMS Control Gauge Post by fsxpaul on Apr 22nd, 2017 at 10:13pm
I have no idea why it doesn't show up in the lower left corner :-?
You did replace your original [Window01] section with the provided code? You can try this; add to the [Window01] section: window_pos=0.0, 0.75 This will override the position variable. 0.0 is the leftmost of your screen, and 0.75 is 75% down from the top of your screen. You can change the 0.75 to a larger number (max value 1.0) if you want the icons down lower. |

Hello,
Maybe you can help me. I installed everything and I have the fms, MCU, EFIS, and navigation displayed installed. I load up flight with the 737-200. Input my flight into the Smith FMS. I see my route come up on the Nav display. So all good. Do as you told in the instructions set to rwy heading. I take off and once above 1000ft turn on AP and heading selector. Then when I click on LNAV it does nothing. I can see the HDG bug switch to the correct to the right nav point very briefly but not even a second later the heading bug goes right back to the rwy heading. I appreciate any help or suggestions. As I've been wanting to fly this plane for a while now. I don't want to though seeing how there is no LNAV function. On a side rant don't understand why Captain Sim couldn't take the INS from their 727 and L1011 and make it compatible with the 737-200. Thank You!!! |

I'm not sure what your issue could be. I've just tested my v1.8 install with FSX and everything works as it should.
Are you using P3D? |
Title: Re: CS737-200 ISG FMS Control Gauge Post by rich5548 on Aug 22nd, 2017 at 11:57pm
No it's FSX Steam. I followed your instruction guide too, double checked. I can see the route but for some reason the hdg bug flickers back to rwy hdg when I press L Nav. Auto pilot and heading select are turned on once I reach a thousand ft. When I go press LNAV the hdg bug flickers but goes back to rwy hdg.

I don't know now If this matters but I never installed it into my VC. Meaing I still have the defaul captain sim 737 heading selector installed. I just installed the ISG included in your files as windows.

Installing into the VC makes no difference. Do you have a functioning ISG installed in another aircraft?

No I haven't tried that yet. I will give it a shot if you think that would help.

You know what I figured out what it was I was trying to use LNAV in the MSU and don't realize you had an LNAV in the shift+2 menu. Once I clicked on that it started working. Thank you for this program had a blast being able to use LNAV on my flight.

Can we get an update of this for the P3D v4 release. It absolutely will not display the LNAV and FMC icons.

Hi everyone, I got this mod working on P3D v4
Use the modified intructions below: 1. Installation of Required Files ================================= a) Place these 2 files into the ISG installation folder: Example: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ISG' 'ISG_Control_CS737.xml' 'B737_Ctrl_Cntr.xml' b) Place theses 2 files the into the 'ISG\Aircraft' folder: 'B737-200.cfg' 'B737-200.prf' 2. Panel.cfg Changes ==================== *** ALWAYS make a back-up first before modifying!!! Add to the end of the [Window Titles] section: WindowXX=Smiths FMS WindowXX=Navigation Display WindowXX=EFIS Control Where 'XX' is the next available logical sequence number. Example: Window08=Smiths FMS Window09=Navigation Display Window10=EFIS Control 3. Hi skyjose
Sorry I did not see your post before today. I did as you instructed and I now have the Icons inside my cockpit but the plane still does not follow the FP. If I move the HDG selector to down positivion (LNAV engaged] the HDG will not change. Kind Regards Patrick |
