I was just doing a flight in the Cs777 GE model, and noticed that I am not getting the gear retract and extend sounds when I use the landing gear. The sound.cfg file has the entries for these sounds and the TSS-gearup and TSS-geardown sound files are there in the folder and they play fine when I double-click them.

I have the latest 1.71 update installed.
