I have a Keyboard Command set to turn the Avionics ON/OFF, as there is not a switch in the 727 for it, and it sounds like the Avionics might be turned OFF.

My default flight for FSX/FSX-SE, is the C172 in a cold and dark setting, but with the Avionics switch ON.

For P3D, I use the Baron 58 in a cold and dark setting, but with the Avionics Switch ON.

I load my default flights before selecting a departure airport, and a Captain Sim aircraft, for a flight.

As I said above, I always start from the default C172 in a cold and dark setting with the Avionics Switch ON. When I load the CS 727-100/200 into FSX, it looks cold and dark. Once I turn on the APU, or provide External Power and Bleed Air, then open the CIVA INS, it's OFF, and I have to turn it ON.
