Title: main L1 door freezes when opening and crashes fsx
Post by cessna_man on Aug 19th, 2016 at 6:39pm

Hey all, I've been flying other aircraft lately and decided I wanted to start flying the 757 again. When I went to open main door it froze when It started to open and then fsx crashed. I know I can change exit to l2 door, but I'm using FSPassenger and GSX and as far as I know fspassenger only recognizes the L1 door.

Does anyone know what is causing this issue and is there a solution. I know I can just reinstall, but I've done modification to cfg and air files in order for the plane to fly without issues.

The door issue is not related to mods I did to aircraft, because all worked just fine with the Mods. Just stopped flying this bird for a while and when I started again I had this issue.

Thanks,
Gabe

I haven't had that problem, and I don't know of any fix for it, other than to reinstall the 757.

Try reinstalling the 757-200 Base Pack following these instructions so you preserve your mods:

1) Rename the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B757-200 folder to CS_B757-200bak
2) Reinstall (repair) the 757-200 Base Pack
3) Rename the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B757-200 folder to CS_B757-200bak2
4) Rename the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B757-200bak folder back to CS_B757-200
5) Start FSX and see if the problem is solved
6) If it is solved, delete the CS_B757-200bak2 folder

Thanks for the tip Mark, but unfortunately it didn't work.
Since the aircraft was reinstall I just kept that and copied my aircraft.cfg and my .air file and shes working fine now.
I just need to do a test flight and see how the plane will fly.
Something must have gotten corrupt when installing possibly another aircraft.
Thanks Mark
