Hello all,
I recently installed the C-130 and found the the TIT doesn't work as described in a real world Hercules.
I've written an XML gauge that simulates take-off and climb TIT values that seems to work pretty well. It's not perfect but I did what I could with my limited knowledge of this aircraft.
The gauge has an airspeed display which will toggle IAS & TAS, torque / fuel flow, and TIT / cruise ceiling (optimum altitude).
Sorry, but this gauge is only for FSX. Before I make this gauge available, I'd like to hear from some of you if there's any interest.
Below are some of the performance values I've achieved:
Testing on C-130H - French AF
Fuel = 27418
Payload = 34069
Gross Weight = 137000
T/O Stab trim = 4.01
T/O Reduced to FL230 @ 970°
Time: 17.5 min
Distance: 56.7 nm
Fuel used: 2029 lb
Climb speed: 175-180 kias
Climb gradient: 1250-1500 fpm
T/O Continuous to FL230 @ 1010°
Time: 13.2 min
Distance: 42.7 nm
Fuel used: 1731 lb
Climb speed: 175-180 kias
Climb gradient: 1750-2000 fpm
T/O Military to FL230 @ 1049°
Time: 11.7 min
Distance: 41.0 nm
Fuel used: 1696 lb
Climb speed: 185-190 kias
Climb gradient: 1850-2100 fpm
