Title: Re: Going away

Been home for a week now, and I've finally caught up with most of my family and friends. The days are now almost normal again (I needed a holiday to recover from my holiday). Phew!

While in Hong Kong, my wife and I were trying to fit too many things to do, in too little time to do it. We went to Disneyland, Ocean Park, The peak (which included a visit to Madame Tussauds), Lantau Island, to see the "Big Buddha" (a 30 metre tall bronze statue of Buddha),and to the Avenue of Stars (Kowloon). If I ever write a book (or story), I will call it "Getting Lost in Hong Kong, and the 10,000 Stairs", because we always got lost, and there are steps everywhere!

We stayed in a nice hotel (The Cosmo), and our room was on the 27th floor. The room was very nice, but the view... well that was awesome!

After 5 days and 6 night in Hong Kong,we went to the Philippines, we stayed 2 nights and 1 day in Manila, in which both my wife and I got tattoos, before heading to the Province, where we stayed in our own home (we have been building it over the last 23 years and it's almost complete), with my mother-in-law and 2 of our nieces. In the 4 weeks there, we visited many of my wife's relatives. We drove around in our "Owner" (a copy of the WW2 US Jeep, made of stainless steel, but with only a 1.3 litre Toyota K4 engine). We visited Roxas City several times, and also went to Iloilo for one weekend (it only took 25 years for me to finally get to Iloilo).

On our return, we were only in Manila for a little over 24 hours, so we just lazed around the hotel for much of the time. Then, all to soon, we were home again. It almost feels like our 5 week holiday was nothing but a dream. :(

Hopefully I will get around to posting some photos just to show some of the highlights of our holiday!
