Same thing here. File size is only about 6mb instead of about 24mb. I'm getting the same results even with, or without, my Avast shields turned off (just in case it saw it as a false-positive for a virus) for the download. :(

Same here and I only just bought and downloaded the 777 !!!

The FSX version downloads fine and opens (downloaded it for testing only 19mb).

The P3D only downloads 6meg!

Do we have any information on what 1.6 brings to us? Fixes, features, etc.?

Somethings are better somethings are still the same (VNAV) on approach :-/

The FSX version worked fine for me.  The plane has worked quite well for me ever since 1.4.   

FWIW, in order to get the plane working right, I have to set up the flight, hit "Fly Now", then exit out to the free flight menu, then go back in.  Reloading the plane doesn't help, only works if I go all the way back out to the menu then back into "Fly Now!".  It has been that way on my system (FSX Acceleration on Win7-64) since day one.

Sorry, but I can't quite get what your doing, or why your doing it. :-/

I always start FSX, using my default flight (the default C172 cold and dark but with the Avionics Master Switch ON), I change the airport and time of the day (if I need to), then I press Fly Now.

Once FSX is ready with the C172, then I select the aircraft I want to fly. I do this primarily because if I want to start a different flight with a different aircraft, when I select End Flight, my FSX Start screen is ready for another flight but the C172 is the aircraft showing in the window. It's like a nice fresh restart of FSX.

Try doing that to see what happens. The 777 loads fine into FSX, and works fine too.

Quite simply, on my system, it will not work any other way.  I only have this issue with the 777.  It is not a big deal. 

Does the new service pack finally bring some better performance and accaptable FPS?

There are two links for downloading the 1.6 update for the 777, one is for the FSX version, the other is for the Prepar3D version. Are you sure you are not selecting the one for Prepar3D?

I just did a test by selecting the FSX version link, and it was definitely the FSX version file (csx772_1600.exe) that I got, so I think you must be clicking on the Prepar3D link by accident. :-/

  i have the captain sim 777 200 and the
expansion 777 300. i cannot download the update 1.6.. it stops half way thru..very frustrating..any help is appreciated rgds ken hanson

I'v installed csx770_0100.exe, csx772_1400.exe and csx774_1600.exe. So I'v three ordernumbers. Which number do I'v to use when installing csx772_1600.exe?

If you exchanged the 777 v0.1 and 777 v1.0 Upgrade for the 777 v1.x full version, then use the that order number to install the 777 v1.4 (full version), and 777 v1.6 update.

I hope I explained it good enough for you to understand, otherwise Tanya might need to PM you with which order number you should use. ;)

I just purchased the 777.

The download link provided me with the 1.4 version.
Should that not have been the 1.6?

Or do I need to install 1.4 and then 1.6.

I ask this as I have not seen this before with any of my other CS aircraft.
