Title: Vone speed bugs
Post by BrzI on Dec 15th, 2014 at 8:56am
I have the V-One gauge in the 732. It sets the speed bugs.
Dont't have that working with the 72x. Is that possible ?
Thanks

There are 2 versions of the V-One gauge.
The older one (V-One Gauge for B727-100/F 727-200/F with Call-Outs), does not adjust the speed bugs.
The newest one (V-One Gauge for Boeing 727-100/200/F (Complete)) will adjust the speed bugs.

Can I just overwrite the old gauge with new one ?

Unfortunately, no. The new version needs to have the additional sound files properly installed too. Without them, FSX will most likely crash.

Got everything working but noticed a strange issue. Once either window is displayed the radio altimeter sets itself to 200 ft and can no longer be changed. See this both on the 727-100 and the 727-200. Any idea why this could be happening ?

On the other hand the 737-200 radio altimeter works just fine.

Thanks

Ah, yes. I was going to release a altitude call-out gauge that uses the radio altimeter.

The knob in the 3D cockpit will change the the dial indicator but does not change the FSX event id (K:DECISION_HEIGHT).

I placed a hidden adjustment in the upper right corner of the Data Card.
If you have Tool Tips enabled you will see the Decision Height change using your mouse.

Using DX10 - no tool tips here.

Is there any way to get back the proper VC knob functionality ?

Thanks

Yes, uninstalling the gauge is one way.

Tool Tips will work in DX10 preview window mode. Not sure if you meant to imply that it doesn't?

Open the file V-One.xml located in ..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B727-100\panel\V-One
Delete the following lines of code and save.
[code]            (A:Decision Height, Feet) 500 <= if{ (A:Decision Height, Feet) 100 / (>L:L13_002_BUG_POS,position) }

           (A:Decision Height, Feet) s1 1000 <=  l1 500 > &&

Yeah, I use full-screen DX10.

Thanks for the info.
