Title: L. H. Bottle Inactive? Post by RobWilk on May 4th, 2014 at 6:33pm
I'm hoping someone can shed light on the purpose of this annunciator. I've flown this airplane a fair amount and have never seen it illuminated before today's trip. I've been through the documentation but don't see a description of what it is indicating and how to extinguish the light. I'm currently 3 hours into the flight and haven't noticed any particular consequence of its illumination, but as I understand the Boeing philosophy of no lights in normal operation, I really don't like seeing any...especially red ones... ;)

The left hand bottle inactive refers to the high pressure start bottle.
Keep Calm and fly on! 8-) Being illuminated indicates the pressure is low in the bottle. It should not cause you any in-flight problems. After you land, reload the aircraft and see if it still lit. Lou |

Thank you very much, Lou!
Good to know that I for whatever reason, chose the correct course of action ;) I just loaded up another flight and the annunciator is not lit, so all's well! |
