I tested this out and selected the Approach Transition of TRYSH (ILS30R.TRYSH). After TOY, I had VECTORS (track 186o) in my route. What happens when you reach VECTORS, is that the 777 will follow the VECTORS track, 186o in this case.

This is the route with VECTORS. Notice the magenta line heading away from TOY, but not towards TYRSH.

When you have VECTORS in the route and you are not using the ATC, then you need to either use Heading Select to steer towards TYRSH, select TYRSH (copy it to the scratchpad), then "paste" it over VECTORS to remove VECTORS from the route, and head straight in to land.

Or, select TRYSH (copy it to the scratchpad), then "paste" it over VECTORS, and that means that you will go straight from TOY to TYRSH, which is the sensible thing to do. Upon reaching TYRSH, you would then turn towards waypoint HIXOM (302o), and you should then bE able to capture the ILS/GS and do a full AUTOLAND.

This is the route after VECTORS was replaced with TYRSH. Notice the magenta line goes directly from TOY towards TYRSH.
