Hi.

I am trying to see if you can do a fully automated flight, from just after takeoff to full ILS autoland under LNAV.   I just tried it into KSTL, and I was almost to the point of ILS capture and the plane decided to turn away from the airport about 15 or 20 miles away.   Normally I would fly with the FSX ATC and would be getting vectored to the ILS capture leg, but I wanted to see if LNAV could do everything on it's own, including the ILS landing.  

I figured I would have to lower the gear, set flaps, autobrakes, spoilers armed, etc.  But we turned away just when I thought I was onto something!

So what's the deal?  Is the plane supposed to be able to go all the way to the runway under LNAV?
