Title: FSX Military Missions with Weapon for FSX

FSX Military Missions with Captain Sim's FSX Weapon

First of all, I have to say that I'm very pleased with Captain Sim's FSX Weapon and I think is a really great Add on for the user who wishes to use fully functional Weapon Systems in FSX. Weapons appear at the moment of triggering them - not showing up under the Aircraft's pylons - but this does not reduce the fun of using them !...

For me the great Advantage of this weapon system solution over other weapon solutions in FSX right now, is that weapons can be used by any Aircraft or Helicopter (default fsx, freeware, payware) in FSX.. Another important advantage is that CS FSX Weapon can be used inside FSX Missions (not only in Free Flight) with all the advantages that derive from this feature (see below).

So I have built 2 FSX Military Missions that I'd like to share with you all, to use your weapons in them. They feature Carrier Operations with the CS_FA-18. I have added two Liveries (repaints) for this plane that I've found on the net ("Jolly Rogers" & "Fighting Omars") that you may choose to fly with, inside missions. The Ground Attack mission can be found in CS Liveries over here, but also both missions & details can be found in the Foreign Section of my Forum, here : http://341sqn.forumgreek.com/t71-topic

Feel free to post your feedback, questions, ideas either here or at the above mentioned forum.

After this introduction, I come to the matter that "hurts" any weapon solution in FSX right now:
We have the weapons but we don't have the targets for them !...

This huge gap comes the freeware FSX@War project to fullfill. It is expected to be released before the end of 2013 and adds a Mission & Battle Ground editor for the user to place Targets (SimObjects that can be locked and destroyed by CS FSX weapons) anywhere inside FSX's virtual environment !

But since then and for my personal taste for CS Weapons usage, I go in another similar to FSX@War way :

Video featuring Building destruction with CS Weapons (only in FSX Missions) :

Firstly I have gathered the targets for the Weapons. A target "mission pack" is available for you to download & install at the Forum mentioned above (Direct Download Link is this : http://www.mediafire.com/?e8fyfch0qvqhf18  ). Contains almost all available on the net SimObjects that CS Weapons can Lock & destroy, apart of the default FSX planes of course (Vehicles, tanks, Ships) :

SHIPS :
- cruiser
- destroyer
- ship
- Fletcher
- lcacx
TANKS :
- chall2
- M1A1
VEHICLES :
- HumVee
- UNIMOG
- fsxstlwr
Invisible Target :
-Orbx_BOB

Second, I have made a simple "BattleGround Editor" for the user who wishes to place ground & sea targets wherever he wants in FSX. In reality is an FSX Military Mission that you can edit. You may find it here also : http://341sqn.forumgreek.com/t66-topic

Third, I use fsx mission building to place my static & moving targets at my choice theater of Operations and also add a meaning and cause for my flying sortie. Thus combining the FSX Missions features with the use of CS Weapon, I achieve preciesly a very good FSX Combat experience (keeping in mind that FSX is not a native Combat Simulator but on the other hand, has all the world & all the planes to fly in it !!!...). But the possibilities are great both in Single & Multiplayer Mission playing... And with the coming of FSX@War, I will have a great variety of targets to add to my FSX Missions !... You may judge for yourselfe trying out the 2 above mentioned missions.

Video of a complex objectives FSX mission using also FS recorder tracks in the mission. Timing for the objectives here, is of absolute importance :

All of the above is the work of Xpel. I'm just creating a new topic for him.
