WD-40 is a lubricant oil that also displaces water (water displacement, 40th formula). It was originally designed to repel water and to prevent corrosion. Now, it can fix a lot more issues around the house (lubricate and loosen joints and hinges, remove dirt, and getting screws and bolts loosened).
