I just downloaded and installed a new repaint for the CS B727 in Delta Air Lines latest livery. The problem is the aircraft skin is black with the exception of the doors which are white. Any ideas on what causes this?

Copy the texture.cfg from one of the default 727 texture folders (i.e. texture.aircanada), and paste it in the texture.xx folder for the latest Delta Airlines livery. That should fix it. ;)

Mark, unfortunately that didn't work. I'm wondering if it's because I run FSX in DX10 mode.

Was the repaint created for the Legendary 727? There could be a problem with texture names if it was. :-/

Nope, this is a repaint for the FSX version. I downloaded it from FlightSim.com.

Which repaint is it (filename)? I'll download it and see if I can figure out why it isn't working. ;)

The repaint is for the 727 Captain: 727-200 Expansion Model v2.2\n(c) 2009 Captain Sim, not the 100 model like I and probably the OP have.

I have tried renaming the files to fit the 100 model but the front section remains black, as the texture is very different.

Mark, sorry..... been working a lot lately. Here's the short-cut for the file.... it's on the FlightSim.com website under the FSX Jetliners section. Not sure if the file is also posted to AVSIM or not. I appreciate the effort my friend.

But in this case the whole aircraft is black and only the doors show the repaint. Even the example pics show the aircraft is in fact a -200 series.

Unfortunately you must be doing something wrong. I just downloaded it and added it to the 727-200 and it looks great.

One thing I did find, was that it has ui_manufacturer=Captain Sim and ui_createdby=Captain Sim, and it does have description=727 Captain: 727-200 Expansion Model v2.2\n(c) 2009 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com

I have the VC showing in the additional window just to show that the VC textures are okay as well.

Mark I figured it out..... his textures won't run in DX10 mode. Switched to DX9 and it's fine.

Glad you sorted it out. :)

I don't use DX10 Preview mode because quite a few of my addons don't like it. Seeing as I can't remember which ones are, or aren't, compatible, it stays OFF. :D

Problem for me is I gain quite a bit of FPS with DX10. Plus my water textures and VC shading looks a lot nicer. I'll just have to flip back and forth.

True. It can give a better look to the water, but I'm not sure whether I get any FPS improvement. Besides, turning it on or off requires a restart of FSX. And I'm slack! ;D
