Title: Control Yoke stuck
Post by marknixon on Jul 21st, 2013 at 10:43am
I think this problem has been voiced before but I can't find the answer by 'searching'.

When I start a Flight, in almost all cases the control yokes are jammed over to the left - a full 90 degrees. Nothing I do, such as reselecting the C777 or going to a default FSX a/c and then back to the 777, makes any difference.

Would someone please tell me what causes this and how to fix it?

I don't know what causes it, mine does it too, but providing External or APU power will centre the yokes.

I posted this video in another topic, but can't remember which one, so I've posted it in here too! :-[

IMHO CS are trying to show the effects of having zero hydraulics and the yoke has followed the control surfaces to their rest point after power down - cold.

I don't know if this happens in real life, would have thought the yoke was similar to the power steering system in our cars where there is some sort of direct connection but mainly it controls hydraulic shuttle valves. Very much unlike the Airbus FBW system.

Lou could very well answer this question.

Make sure that the Hydraulic Switches are on. They are on the OH panel behind the Captains seat (near the cabin door):

If they look like this, they are off, so you need to turn them on.

Thank you so much, Markoz.
Everything is working fine now.
Please, answer me to another question, if you have the time for this: How can I start in Cold and Dark mode with CS777 and if is any where in settings any way to save my own Cold and Dark Panel (like PMDG777...737..etc)?
Thanks again for your support

Best Regards

My default flight for FSX is the C172 in a cold and dark setting (except the Avionics Master Switch is ON), so when I load an aircraft into FSX it's in a cold and dark setting.

The main reason that I leave the Avionics Master Switch is ON, is because quite a few Captain Sim aircraft don't have an Avionics switch, and having it on in my default flight meant that the avionics would be on all the time. For example, the CS 727 used to have the Avionics drop out after 10-15 minutes, so that was the best solution I could find to prevent the Avionics from going off. I also found, later on, that I could create a keyboard command for the Avionics master (on/off) in the settings > controls, so that I could use that to turn the avionics on if they turned off on me.
