Title: FS Commander aircraft settings.
Post by ftwd on Jul 20th, 2013 at 10:18am
Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone has programmed FS Commander with the settings for the 707 Captain?
If you have and you are getting good fuel and time estimates, can you please share them with me? I have version 9.3

Cheers in advance,
Nathan  :D

I did it ages ago for all my Captain Sim aircraft, but during an update, or a full uninstall/reinstall, I lost them all. I assume I deleted the folder with them still in it. I've never bothered to do it again because FSC isn't (or didn't used to be) very accurate with that info. I got some of the info from the Boeing 707 Wikipedia page, while the rest was from the aircraft.cfg (empty weight, maximum weight, etc.). :(

Thanks for your reply Mark,
Pretty well did the same but didn't get accurate fuel predictions at all, which was why I thought I would ask on here. Must be FSC, will just keep using my home made estimates bassed on altitude and flight hours.
Cheers again,

Nathan

I've never found FSC (from FSC X 8.2 through to FSC 9.3) to be very accurate with fuel predictions.
It's good for a guide, but generally predicts too much fuel is needed for a flight. At least that's better than if it didn't predict enough fuel. ;)
