Title: C-130 Variables/SDK Post by Matthew Chase on Jun 26th, 2013 at 5:16pm
I am looking for a list of the local variables for the C-130 to aid in the building of my home cockpit. Thank you very much.

Hi Matthew,
How's the cockpit going? Could you get any of the information you are looking for using AirEd or Air Wrench? AirEd particularly seems to specialise in getting into the tables in the .air file. I'm curious to know if you or anyone reading this has tried and/or had any luck modifying any of the engine performance charcteristics in the .air file. I tried but adjusting any parameters to match real world engine and prop speeds for instance then prevented the generators from being able to come online so I gave up. Reached the limit of my knowledge fairly quickly! Instead I have found that changing powerspecificfuelconsumption in aircraft.cfg from 1.000 to 0.846888 gets the indicated fuel flows to match AFM data very closely, good enough for flight planning purposes. I have a few questions for a real Herc pilot too if that would be alright. Regards, Chris |
